Press Release – Jan Baudet and Alice Meignie win the 2026 6000D by Dare 2B

- An all-time record for entries was set over the La 6000D weekend, with 6,750 participants taking part across the 11 events over three days (+55% compared with 2024).
- Victories for local runner Jan Baudet and Alice Meignie in the flagship race of La 6000D. Already a winner in 2023, Jan Baudet, head of the municipal police in La Plagne Tarentaise, is savouring this unexpected first place, which he has secured for the second time.
- Dorian Louvet finished 4th in the La 6D Marathon. Following his world-class feat in 2025, when he completed the seven major marathons in under 2 hours 30 minutes on average, the former contestant on the TV show *Koh-Lanta* has confirmed his passion for trail running, a discipline he took up just three months ago. He says he thoroughly enjoyed himself, particularly on the descent where he managed a fine comeback.
- Unlike in 2025, conditions were hot, with the organisers activating their heatwave plan. This resulted in the addition of water stations and shower facilities, a mandatory head covering, a minimum water requirement at the start, and an earlier start time for the 6D Marathon…

Jan Baudet celebrates another unexpected victory – 69 km / 3,400 m elevation gain
The 6000D, to which he remains steadfastly loyal, is undoubtedly the race of his life. Jan Baudet, aged 37, who has called Plagne home for several years, lines up every year with very mixed results – ranging from podium finishes to withdrawals; it’s all or nothing. To recap: second place behind Beñat Marmissole in 2022, a victory in 2023, two successive withdrawals in 2024 and 2025, and another victory in 2026.
In the lead throughout, Jan extended his lead on the climb, building a comfortable 12-minute advantage at Live 3000 (the highest point) over his closest rival, Yohan Giraud. Then on the descent, the gap narrowed to 10 minutes at Plagne Bellecôte, 7 minutes at Montchavin and just 2 minutes 23 seconds at the finish…
“After a climb where I felt comfortable, things got tough on the descent and I had to switch to survival mode because of the pain in my knee. It was like a manhunt; I knew the gap was closing. I finished completely knackered; it was all in my head. It’s an unexpected victory, because after a difficult build-up marred by injuries (back problems, sciatica, knee), I was even still wondering last night whether I’d line up at the start. I finally decided to come, as it would have been hugely frustrating not to be there; I told myself I’d play it by ear, ready to pull out if things didn’t go well. It was a toss-up. So this second victory means a great deal to me, The 6000D is a major race and the runners here have some impressive track records. Here I’m spurred on by the crowd; there are lots of people I know along the course, a brilliant atmosphere, and I know the trails well – that’s for sure! ”
Yohan Giraud, for his part, finished second with a smile: “This is my second time competing in the 6000D; I came 23rd last year and had made the 6000D one of my main goals this year. I’m pleased with this performance in a race that’s become very close to my heart. I’m keeping my sights set on winning it in the future!”
Among the other runners in the top 10 were: Ke Mael Rabouint ( 4th), Clément Mugnier (5th), Yoann Stuck, ambassador for La 6000D (6th), Jonathan Lamy, a local and the fastest Frenchman to complete two ascents of Everest in under a year (8th), and Arthur Joyeux-Bouillon (10th).

In the women’s race, Alice Meignie secured a resounding victory and finished 14th overall. She explained that the profile of the 6000D suits her perfectly. This race held special significance for her as it was a tribute to the mountain guide François Allemoz and a close family friend, both of whom died in an avalanche at La Plagne in late December 2025.
